INSUWAN RICE FARM

At Insuwan Rice Farm, water management played a critical role in maintaining healthy rice production. Inefficient irrigation practices often led to either excess water usage or insufficient field moisture, both of which could negatively impact crop growth and sustainability.

THE CHALLENGE

Rice farming requires precise water level control, but traditional irrigation methods made this difficult. Farmers often relied on manual observation, which could lead to:

  • Over-irrigation and wasted water

  • Under-irrigation affecting crop health

  • Delayed responses to changing field conditions

  • Increased labor and time spent monitoring fields

These challenges highlighted the need for a smarter, more responsive irrigation system.

OUR SOLUTION

To address this, we developed a WiFi-connected irrigation management system designed to monitor and manage water levels in real time across multiple rice fields.

The system integrates:

  • Ultrasonic water level sensors

  • Cloud-based data monitoring

  • Smartphone-accessible dashboard

  • Real-time alert notifications

Ultrasonic sensors continuously measure the water level in each rice field, ensuring accurate and up-to-date readings. Data is transmitted via WiFi to a cloud platform, where it is stored and processed in real time. Farmers can access water level data anytime through their smartphones, allowing for easy monitoring across all three farms. When water levels become too high or too low, the system sends immediate notifications, enabling quick and precise irrigation decisions.
